Two days ago after school my brother picked me up and I wanted to stop at our Blockbuster and drop off "Conan the Barbarian" and "Escape from New York" he said he wanted to rent something so I had to pay the latefee so we both went in. While he was looking for "Signs" and "Bowling for Columbine" I saw these movies:
"Killer Buzz" HEY GUYS guess what...another killer bee movie (well they look like hornets or wasps but still). Whatkinda name is "Killer Buzz" anyway?
"Leechs" hmmm Leechs. That's been done before but not nearly as often as giant snakes, crodiles, killer bees. Wasn't the last one "The Killer Leechs?"
"Junior" Sounds like a slasher flick. It's says it's got a deformed dude stocking these two women. Maybe it's more like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" but sucky.
"Forty Niner" wow a killer miner dude (the kind that's got pick axes not the explosive kind). Ho hum moving on.
Sooner or later I might try one but not now. "Killer Buzz" eh? hmmm.

Killer Buzz? Sounds like my college years.
Oh I knew I forgot one we got another killer rat movie called "Rodentz" Sounds...bad.

Lets hope no one ever comes out with a Killer Mutant Tapeworm flick.....
I felt the same way when I saw "The Cell" (I paid to see it in a theater...urk). Ever seen a sci-fi movie from the early '80s called "Dreamscape"?
Dreamscape didn't have Jennifer Lopez and her rear end, however.

I don't agree with that. It has a simular premise (the entering of a persons dreams to solve a problem), but that's about it. It's kind of like saying Dreamscape ripped off Nightmare on Elm Street

Does anything involving the Disney sequels count? And also the recent ripoff of Jaws.Dave:Blackeye15 wrote:
uhhhhhhhh I was sorta talking about monster movies that have been done before , I don't mind if they've been done before as long as they're good but these movies don't look so good, but I'll give em a shot maybe. I guess you can say Disney sequals. BOY DO THEY ALWAYS SUCK!!! It's like a policy or law do have a classic given a REALLY crappy sequal. I mean even worse than say Day of the Dead to Dawn/Night of the Living Dead is better in comparision (I like Day of the Dead It's cool with me).

To point out the obvious, there are all the Dracula & Frankenstein's monster movies, plus King Kong.
While Dreamscape was much more similar to The Cell than Nightmare on Elm Street, I can see your point. Also, the main difference was that Dreamscape was fun, The Cell really sucked.
If you're talking about cheap knock-offs, I know what you mean. I spotted the Rodentz flick shortly after the new willard came out. And tons of The Ring/Fear.com knockoffs, or maybe just the cases were made to resemble the more popular flicks.
The giant animal movies are my third favorite genre. (cyborgs and mutants are 1 and 2).
Recent giant animal movies that I've watched and enjoyed
Blood Surf. (no not sharks. It's an aligator movie)
Lake Placid (another aligator)
plus for some reason I didn't mind Python. I think I had the flu.
