In the month or so since this site has become a regular stop in my web surfage, [Or, to be more precise, ever since innocently coming across A.P.E. on cable tv....and MY MIND WAS SCARRED FOREVER.....>ahem<...] I've been so engrossed in other areas; keeping up with the reviews [old and new], the phorum, etc... that I'd only, finally, thought to check out your "Random Thoughts" section today. [Better late than never, especially in this case!] It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that I was laughing SO hard I couldn't see the monitor through the tears, which were pouring out of my eyes! [Plus, I think I hurt myself...] My perception of the possible uses for hot dog meat has been permanently altered! Now I don't think that I'll ever be able to sit through a movie featuring Arnold Schwarznegger using anything that even vaguely resembles an Uzi again without uncontrolably snickering. Hahahahaha! Great stuff!
In keeping with the whole "hot dog" idea, I can't resist finishing with the funniest, hot dog related, bit of dialogue that I think I've ever heard in a movie:
Vendor at bus station: "I work on a cash-only basis!....You slip me the cash and I'll slip you the weiner!"
Brenda: "But I don't HAVE any money!"
Vendor at bus station: "Then I DON'T HAVE A WEINER!" - Adventures in Babysitting -
I always wonder if the director PLANNED for that exchange to come off the way it did when that scene was shot...the world may never know.
Don't need nothin' but a good,
Tokyo stompin' time!

In ROBOCHIC I forget that I'm involved in a police chase & stop for a hotdog from a sidewalk vendor. I dip the weiner in my Pepsi & pour smashed up potato chips over it for a garnish. All done in the style of Harold Lloyd. The car crashes & explosions distract me momentarily, but I am engrossed in my dog . . .
Thanks for the sysnopsis on what sounds like another funny, hot dog related scene Peter! Both ROBOCHIC, as well as R.O.T.O.R., have become regular objectives every time I go to a video store now, unfortunately, I can never find either!....Whoa!....Now THERE, I bet, would be an entertaining crossover flick..."ROBOCHIC Vs R.O.T.O.R. - A LOVE STORY". I could just envision how the plot summary would begin..."Based upon the timeless classic ROMEO and JULIET, and dazzlingly reimagined...."
Look for it as CYBERC.H.I.C. -- same movie/different title to aviod a lawsuit. Also on the AIP label --
