When I was a kid, I would see that first sequence of Howard being pulled through the building, breaking through rooms and such, and see the girl duck in the bathtub with her boobies showing, and I would get turned on.  That's why I'm in therapy now.

It is crazy enough to watch it at least once, but I can't believe George Lucas thought it could be a success. Maybe between people like us, but certainly this is not a mainstream movie.

As I watched HOWARD THE DUCK on video, many years ago, I kept saying to myself:

"I cannot believe that NO ONE involved in the creation of this movie paused for a moment and said, 'hey . . . this concept JUST ISN'T WORKING.'"

I like this movie a little too much, I just love every damn second of it. Possibly, one of the best B-movies of the last half-century.

Somehow the suggestiveness of a human committing beastiality with a bird never quite caught on with me.

Or maybe it was the really bad humor

I haven't seen Howard the Duck in probably over 10 years.

I remember thinking how hot Leah Thompson looked in it....but that was years ago!

I think I'll put that one on my "To rent" list.

favorite movie when i was little... other then ghostbusters.
my brother and i honestly watched it at least once a week... knew it verbatim.
thought it was the best movie EVER.
and after about ten years i finally saw it again, and couldn't believe i liked it so much. I mean, i still like it, just in a different way, a B-movie way.
it's actually pretty crude, can't believe my parents let me watch it so much... cheap babysitter i guess.

It's not nice to fool with the dark overlords!.... waaka waaka waaka

I also loved this movie when I was a kid.

It has not gotten better with age, but it is still a great B movie.

God, I haven't seen this one in a while.  I remember watching this a lot when I was about 10 and having a humongous crush on Lea Thompson (and oogling at her while she romped around in a shirt and panties *insert Quagmire "All riiiiggghht!"*).   I need to pick it up again just to see if my opinion of it has changed.  I'm pretty certain my opinion of Lea hasn't.

Man, I love Howard the Duck.  Aside from the obvious fact that Leah Thompson looks really hot in it, you can point at the screen and shout "LOOK!  It's TIM ROBBINS!!!".  And Mr. Rooney blows up a truck stop.  Good fun.

And dont forget, Howard the Duck is a property of Marvel comics. So, it isin the same family as the Hulk and Spider Man.

I loved it when I was a kid for what it was, and I enjoy it now for what it is AND isn't.  I love the scene with the ice pick.  And I have to admit I find it amusing how everyone like thinks nothing of a humanoid duck walking around.

Lea Thompson lookin hot, Tim Robbins acting like a total dork and tons of odd-ball goffiness. How can you not dig this movie?!
