I've never seen American Psycho 2 but i heard something vague about Ptrick Bateman being murdered and it having something to do with a babysitter. Can anyone clue me in on what happens and spare me having to rent and watch AP2 which i've heard is balls.
My wife and I watched this flick recently on Showtime. Film starts off with "Bateman" (Not Christan Bale...doesn't even look like him) holding a young girl and her babysitter hostage. Babysitter dies, the girl kills Bateman, grows up to be crazy herself when she gets to college.
The flick was decently entertaining. It had a few turns throughout, but all were fairly predictable. I'd say that it's ok for a cheap rental or if you can catch it on TV. Just don't expect a masterpiece along the lines of the original American Psycho.
Also, if you liked the original Am. Psy., then check out The Rules Of Attraction. Fantastic, seriously messed up film by the same writer, Brett Easton Ellis. This guy has problems.
Don't waste your time with "American Psycho 2". I am one of the few people who likes the first one and Ellis' writing, and this movie is a serious stinker, an abomination to the eyes of any known god, even for people like us. It is like an episode of "Beverly Hills 90210" with a couple of murders and lots of pretensions.
I agree with Skaboi on the "Rules of attraction" theme, though, it is a very interesting movie if you like Ellis' works or the first "American Psycho".
Mila Kunis looked hot in it though. :)
to prodictable and does'nt have Christian Bale he made it good but now the poor bastard is Batman the shame!!
