So, Spike TV is for the most part retarded, I think we can agree on that. But, has anyone here ever seen Most Extreme Elimitation Challenge, aka MXC? I was introduced to this at my girlfriend's house tonight, and I must say it is the greatest thing I have ever seen.
In a nutshell, an insane Japanese obstacle course show re-dubbed in English, but the dubbing doesn't follow the dialogue from the show, it's completely rewritten and funnier than hell (that is, assuming that hell is pretty damn funny).

uhhh....ASH. Having read most, if not all of your posts and having found you be insightful, witty, and(best of all) original, I have to ask one small question. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING!?!?!?. Look around buddy, all of us, every last one, checked our good taste at the door. Assuming, that is, we had taste to begin with. I myself did not. I like Billy Jack, George Clooney as Batman and Godfather III.
I think "I Kick Ass For The Lord" is the best line of dialogue ever written. Joe Don Baker's performance in Walking Tall makes me weep, and not because it's painfully bad, because I think it's just so darn well-crafted, I shrugged when Ole Yeller died, when Captain Kirk died...I couldn't leave the house for a week.
None of have standards, not in any normal functional sense of the word, that's why I love this place. Don't leave the the moronic movie fold!! Forget your sense and suspend disbelief. Come play with us ASH, Come play with us...forever and ever and ever.......

I am a faithful MXC viewer, for it is the funniest s**t I've seen in YEARS!!! The comedian voice-overs are hysterical, but the idea of masses of people gathering to do the stunts they do is the true beauty of the show.
In response to the guy that said you should be "above" liking it, I thought I'd add a little insight into the crowd that likes it.
I am a law enforcement professional. My husband is a medical transcriptionist (at home taping the 4 hr marathon right now), and our physician\chief of staff friend love it just as much as we do.
There can be beauty in stupid things. Beauty and humor.
I with ASH on this one. The overdubbed attempts at humour are barely juvenile. That this is on a station that calls itself 'the first station for men' should be an embarrasment to any male
