Title: House of Frankenstein
Post by: TheFeen on October 16, 2003, 09:08:33 AM
I just found a copy of this that i taped off TV about two years ago and have just got through a second viewing.
Its about a cop (Adrian Pasdar) who is on the case of 'The Midnight Raptor'  where the murderer drains his victims of blood. Oooh. Eventually he discovers a club full of vampires, a couple of werewolves and a Frankenstein.
This is a made for TV movie but it is actually a pretty darn good horror movie. Has anybody else seen this and what do you think of it.

I've never even heard of it...but it sounds pretty interesting. When was it made and who's in it?

I clicked on this expecting to read about the REAL House of Frankenstien, just to tell you how much I remembered about the remake/whatever-it-is.  Didn't know it was on tape; might look out for it, if I have nothin' better to do.

It was made in 1997 and stars Adrian Pasdar (cop), CCH Pounder (vampire hunter/expert), Greg Wise (a vampire or possibly a fallen angel) and Jorja Fox (vampire lackey). Its pretty cool and you even get to see Frankenstein's monster half inching a muffin and riding a bus. Dont know where you'll find it though sorry.

I liked it.  Not spectacular, but good.  My ultimate question is

***MINOR SPOILER****

Why did the guy try to remove the werewolf 'curse' off his girlfriend?  It was clearly explained that it was totally voluntary change and they could control themselves when transformed.  I have to say though it was a pretty ingenious way of doing it.

SciFi airs this occasionally. It's a 4-hour miniseries.
