Title: Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
Post by: Scott on October 19, 2003, 10:09:48 PM
TCM played BONNIE AND CLYDE (1967) tonight. Great film directed by Arthur Penn and starring Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Gene Hackman, Gene Wilder, Denver Pyle. First time I seen this violent and bloody film. Actually I was very surprised. If you get a chance watch this cross contry shooting spree type film.

Long time no see this film, I'll definitely revise it again as soon as they pass it on TV. Arthur Penn is one of those late 60's-70's that deserved more attention than he got. He even made a strange Billy The Kid biopic starring Paul Newman.

This is one of my favorites . . . and an esteemed part of my DVD collection.

Arthur Penn was a great filmmaker. i strongly feel that him and Hal Ashby (Coming Home, Being There, Harold & Maude) never get the attention they deserve for the great works of art they created.
