Title: Horror Channel
Post by: Scott on October 20, 2003, 10:56:38 PM
Susan, just informed us on the AMC HorrorFest of the new 24 hour Horror Channel that starts October 2004. Wow, guess we won't be getting any sleep. It sounds like they are going to be doing things right. It will be a major channel. They have all the big horror directors on board. Looks promising. The first real Horror Channel.

Hope they get it round these parts....or else we may ditch cable and get a dish.

I'm this close to ditching cable anyway--I don't know if it's because of moving to the west coast from the midwest but it just seems like the movie channels here are playing the same few movies every day, and the Mystery channel, once a good source for horror films seems to be stuck playing TV miniseries......

I don't get it...they're the same channels as I had at my old stomping grounds--maybe it's just an unusually repetitive time or something.   But I just can't justify paying that much when we only find something to watch maybe a few hours a week.

For example, HBO has played that Jennifer Lopez movie ENOUGH at least once a day for the last few days.

I guess that's one movie the executives at HBO think can't be played...

Aw, skip it.

As for the Horror Channel, sounds GOOD to me.  Whether or not my cable system will get it, I don't know (yet), but I would bet on the answer being "No"

Well, if it's unedited then it will be commercial free. If it's edited then they may as well forget a Horror Channel. It would be a waste.
