Title: For those of you who enjoyed Freaks and Geeks
Post by: daveblackeye15 on November 14, 2003, 08:31:53 PM
While waiting for the internet to log me in I saw this magazine "Entainment Weekly" by the computer. I thought I'd check out the movie reviews and saw that they're finally realeasing "Freak and Geeks" on DVD. The only reason that I'm typing this up is because back when there was a topic about "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" T.V Show DVD somebody said "They need to put Freaks and Geeks on DVD" and several others showed support. It also says the whole season is on the DVD and even a commentary on all 18 episodes. I never got around to watching the show but I heard that it got 33,000 signatures for a DVD realease, so maybe I'll check it out. One last thing it says it could be realeased in Spring of 2004. That's what it says.

I watched about 5 or 6 episodes of Freaks & Geeks when it was on TV a few years ago.

I actually kinda enjoyed it!
I remember thinking that girl on it was hotter than hell and the show had a good sense of humor about it.

I may rent it sometime when it comes out to see all of them.

Linda Cardellini, currently on ER if I'm not mistaken. She was also Velma in the Scooby Doo movie, gets kidnapped and her lips sewn shut in Dee Snider's Strangeland...

Was the issue of EW recent?  Because they've talked about it off and on for a while, but unfortunately there's still no official street date for the DVD set.  If you go to www.freaksandgeeks.com you can sign their petition, though, to help prove to the studio that there's enough interest to bother putting a DVD out.
