Title: Randall&Hopkirk (deceased)
Post by: TheFeen on November 19, 2003, 09:49:28 AM
Have any of you seen the British TV show Randall&Hopkirk  (deceased), first aired in1969, about a private detective who has aghost for his partner. They remade it in 2000 with comedians Reeves and Mortimer.

The original had great acting, great plots and Kenneth Cope in a wig but dodgy effects, while the remake had brilliant special effects and was pretty funny. Personally i like em both but still prefer the original. What do you think? Orinal or Remake?

Humm....saw the show, liked it. A remake? Who knew?
How did the remake differ, style wise from the old show?

Seen 'em both, first time around for both!  RAH(D) first time around had some comedy moments from serious actors, whereas RAH(D) second time around had some serious moments from comedy actors.  FYI, the first series of the remake has just about every British contemporary comedian on the circuit in a guest appearance.

I believe I saw this once a long time ago. I didn't know it was a series though, I thought it was a movie.
