Title: Need a bad Christmas movie
Post by: AndyC on December 09, 2003, 01:13:53 PM
I need a bad Christmas movie to review for our annual greeting issue. In past years, I've done Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Mexican Santa Claus, The Star Wars Holiday Special and Santa with Muscles. I need something as cheesy as these.

Any suggestions?

How about Santa Claws (1996) or Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman (2000)?

I suggest Christmas Evil simply because of the "...the hell just happened?" ending with the van flying away into the night.

THE CHRISTMAS THAT ALMOST WASN'T.

I saw it at the movies when I was a kid.  I just bought the DVD a few weeks ago.

It's about an evil landlord who is trying to throw Santa out of his house for not paying his rent.  Rosanno Brazzi plays the villain.  It's dubbed, trashy fun.

Don't Open till Christmas (1984)

"One of the most cruel and mean spirited films ever made with a lousy ending and no payoff what-so-ever for sitting threw 90mins. of explicit murders with no plot, lousy direction (rumor has it three directors worked on this) & awful acting "--says one IMDB voter.
How succinct.

All the other suggestions are probably better - but for what it's worth, Gremlins has a very Christmassy motif and it was awully cheesey.
