In a few of my previous posts I mentioned getting high, usually out in the parking lot, before going into the theater to watch a film.
I admit, I used to be a major pothead but have since found myself drawing away from it.
I don't have the desire to smoke that I once had.
Are any of you weed smokers?
It's ok to admit it if you are.
Millions of people do it.
I've found that most who do love to toke up before heading into the theater regardless of age.
Marijuana can enhance your movie going experience like you never imagined.
The only thing I didn't like about it was that when I was standing in line waiting to get my ticket, I would always think that EVERYONE there was looking at me and knew I was high!
I would see someone looking at me and think, "He knows I'm stoned!"
Do you now or have you ever smoked up before watching a movie in the cinema?
How about at home with the Mrs. or girlfriend before you pop that recently released DVD in?
Be honest!

Thats the only reason i ever get high. Because they make movies a lot more fun to watch. The best is sitting around high with a group of buddies mocking a bad b-movie MST3K style.
All I'm going to say is that "Reefer Madness" is HILARIOUS when you're blazed.
Waking life was an experience that shall not be forgotten easily. Nothing much else to say on that though!
Weed + Plan 9 from outer space = A lot of fun
Acid + natural born killers = A very bad idea...
Most of the movies churned out by Hollywood these days just make me want to drink. A lot.

"Game over man! Game over!"
38 and never smoked pot.
I did, however, down a quart of beer in the parking lot right before seeing Robocop ... I chuckled through all the really gory parts. I am sure I was irritating to those around me....
Back in college I did (1980s). Lots of fun, but after a few years I wanted my brain back. It's probably why I really go hooked on b-movies; Plan 9 was just hilarious high.
I smoked a little bit back when I was in my early 20s. About the only movie experience I ever had while high involved SANTA SANGRE, which pretty much made me swear off the stuff!
I remember getting high and watching TV and all of the programs seemed to last longer--sitcoms seemed like they were two hours long. I wonder what it would be like to get high and watch a really long movie--but I guess it might wear off before the movie was over. Someone I knew once claimed PINK FLOYD THE WALL was three hours long, but they'd only watched it when they were high.
Yay I smoke it on occasion, never had a problem with it and find the effects much more plessurable than being drunk. Also it does make movies alot better. For one you can laugh at pretty much anything, and two you can pick up on things in movies that you hadn't noticed before.Example is when I was watching the Matrix. Now I knew already that there were alot of parallels to the bible, but after smoking a couple bowls and watching the movie I was really able to pick up on all the hidden stuff in the movie.
Back in his younger days, the Noodle used to get baked like a potato...
...But not any more. I definitely wanted my brain back and I'm happy to have what's left of it.
I will admit, however, that I was one of those college kids who rented anime films and got nice and toasty before watching. One of my faves was "The Mind's Eye". I also used to play video games under the influence - mental note, R-Type is no easier in this state.
There was one movie that I laughed my cajones off at every time I got toasted, and that was Demolition Man. I was convinced that the future would be ruled by people that dressed up as androgenous hot-dog vendors.
On the whole, I don't miss it. My wife and family is too important to me now - I don't want to ever escape that reality. But I don't make decisions for other people; that's a journey we each have to walk alone.
Back in the day, many moons ago. Anyone remember when robert tilton used to have his own televangelist show and go on those 'satan' rants? Um..not recommended.
Films I remember as fun were stuff like "Bedknobs and broomsticks" and alot of straight-laced films. For some reason comedies were never AS funny as the serious drama's when smokin the fatty. Although watching foriegn movies with bad dubbing or subtitles was highly enjoyable.

Holy crow - forgot about this factor - whenever I watched anime that wasn't dubbed but had subtitles, I was able to convince myself that I was comprehending Japanese. God, what silly times....
Toking was also the only way I was able to sit through "Lord of Illusions".
I don't need to get high, the movies and music I listen to are enough of a trip usually.
You may find this hard to believe, but I have never tasted alchohol, never did drugs, and in fact never even tasted coffee. It was just never in our home when I was young and I never found it necessary to try. Now I don't think that makes me a better person. Just that I was never influenced by it or those who did it.
I've always viewed it as something that impairs the person doing it and puts to risk those around them. Life is difficult enough without having drugs or alchohol in your life.
I don't think there's anything wrong with alcohol in moderation, so long as no driving is involved.
I don't really believe that pot is any worse than alcohol, but it's illegal and at this point in my life it's not worth the risk, no matter how small.
I never smoked pot on a regular basis, but did try it once. Kinda weird the way things seemed to come back into focus as my friend and I were in the middle of crossing a busy street...
Never smoked pot at all, but I did drink enough beer by the time I was 25 to float the Titanic. Actually I remember it ruining a lot of experiences for me. I never remember drinking before a movie. In fact when I am watching a movie at a theater I never buy a drink or food (don't want to miss anything because of that mid movie bathroom break).
Never touched the stuff- Alcohol is my intoxicant of choice, and I can state with Authority that Godzilla Movies are just hilarious when you've been spending some time with your mates and a bottle of Wild Turkey...
Last night, I got baked and watched one of my favorite movies ever, Bottle Rocket. I always knew the funniest dialogue and lines were the quietest ones in the background and stuff, and I was able to pick up on a lot more than I ever have before.
It's really a different experience every time.... works great for things like Kids in the Hall Brain Candy and Wet Hot American Summer, it doesn't work so well for some movies. Me and a friend went to Willard blazed out of our minds and hated every second of the movie.
Before, during, after . . . whatever it takes . . .
I thought that smoking before "Pink Floyd's The Wall" was mandatory. It's a fantastic experience.
Never smoked
I do enjoy a little bit of rum (with or without soda) with a bad movie..at home
I personally prefer weed over alcohol.Weed has simular effects as alcohol, but with out a lot of the bad side effects the alcohol has.
First I never have thrown up or passed out while smoking weed, and I can still remeber what I did the night before after getting high.Second I like the fact that it dosn't change your personality when your on it, and you can still think pretty rationally even when you are really high.
But all of that is based on my own personal experince with it.I've seen alot of my friends get both drunk and high, and after watching them I can tell there is a big difference. My friends that get high seem to generally more pleasent when toked up, rather than my friends who get s**t faced drunk and start running around and yelling at the top of there lungs, or start fights with one anouther.
Sure I know there is a risk for lung cancer, how big of a risk I'm not sure of though because every study seems to disprove the other. The biggest risk is jail and that is a big risk.Arrested for possession of marijuana is not a good thing to have on your record and losing your job or not getting a job after being tested for it sucks.
So I do smoke it, but I stay responsible and hope that will keep me out of trouble.
