Title: Invisible Invaders (1959)
Post by: Scott on December 17, 2003, 12:14:33 AM
INVISIBLE INVADERS (1959) - This is great B movie Sci-Fi from the 50's with cardboard like actors. This has to be one of the best early Zombie type films even if they are the dead possessed by Invaders from another planet. WHITE ZOMBIE may have been our first zombie film, but INVISIBLE INVADERS comes before LAST MAN ON EARTH and all the other zombie film we all like. John Agar stars in this terrible acted precursor to zombie films. Good film for you collection. So much to say about the actually contents to this film as being a great B-movie. It can be tedious, but a must viewing for all.

Hoo-hoo, man what a great flick.  Agar and Robert Hutton spend almost the whole film fighting over the female lead Jean Byron; the monsters look suspiciously identical to It! The Terror from Beyond Space--Fred Sears directed both films; and the impeccable John Carradine tells us that the invaders wiped out life on the moon 20,000 years ago--why did it takes so frigging long to reach Earth??

Truly bad stuff.  A milestone in Agar's career.
