Starring of all people Arch Hall Jr. after seeing this online several times I knew I had to get this b-movie as soon as I found it at a store (I put off using credit cards for a while), Finding it in both an FYE and Borders I decided to get it at FYE as the one they were selling cost only $4.99 and came on the same dvd with the Killing Kind. Much to my surprise (though reading some reviews did take away from it) instead of being your typical Arch Hall Jr. extremely bad "b-movie" this one was actually not just very entertaining, but kind of good. The film had a good consistent plot, solid characters, good directing, and even good acting (from Arch Hall Jr. no less!). I highly recommend this film as though it is not quite an A-movie I feel that it is among the elite in "b-movies".
Yea, I've had this on my list to purchase for a couple weeks now. I think I'll be buying the Alpha DVD copy for $5.99. Looking forward to THE SADIST and really liked Archie Hall Jr. in EEGAH.
If I remember right he dies falling in a pit of snakes, yes? Ironic considering the warning he was given in Eegah.
Brother R
I buy him as a psycho more than as a teen idol. even for the early 60's he was pretty weird looking
Wouldn't mind seeing WILD GUITAR and THE CHOPPERS also. Something Weird Video has that double feature.
Arch Hall's crowning achievement as an actor. The movie is loosely based on the Charlie Starkweather/Caril Ann Fugate murder spree from the late 50s (which also inspired the movie "Badlands"). I agree with Lester, it's much easier to believe Arch as a psycho. Actually a very nice little B-movie.
the sadist wuld be cooler if he'd done a real mencaing version f "I love you Valerie" from eegah!
