When a movie's opening credits start up after the first 2-5 minute opening scene, and they introduce someone that won't be in the rest of the movie.
Example: in "Silent Warnings" another one of those Sci-fi originals. Stephen Baldwin dies in the first 5 minutes and then in the opening credits it says, "Starring Stephen Baldwin." The actual star was some no-name actor playing Baldwin's cousin and Billy Zane as a local town Sheriff. Baldwin makes just one more appearance in the middle of the film in a video tape.
Also in Jack Frost 2, one of the actors was credited in the opening credits but never showed up afterwards. He didn't die or anything, he just didn't have any screentime afterwards and no info was contributed towards his character. His character--which was a doctor--had no name to begin with. I forgot the actor's name it was Ian something.
another one would be "Executive Decision" was billed as a Steven Seagal and Kurt Russell movie and Segal dies in the first 10mins. Not that I minded.

Go figure, the one movie where Segal plays by the rules and he gets killed.
Same thing with Drew Barrymore in Scream - and what about Emilio Estevez in Mission Impossible? he wasn't even in the credits, and he was the first person who got waxed in that movie!
Can't forget about The Guyver. Mark Hamill gets top billing and plays a really minor role.
And gets "Cockroached" to boot! Mark, you had a carreir once!
