Title: Monty Python and Holy Grail, the Broadway Musical?
Post by: trekgeezer on February 20, 2004, 07:29:35 PM
I read where Cleese had said that Eric Idle had written some nice songs for it, but none of the Pythons would appear because they are too old.  They may call it Spamelot.

Humm....they could find some "Pythonian" actors. Toon voice Jeff Glenn Bennet does a great Cleese. ( Lord Bravery, anyone?)
Heh...make a great casting session...."Alright! I want the dancing Arthers over here, and the singing Arthers over here!"

Well it wouldn't be the first Monty Python-type musical, though not to the same quality, the Full Monty the musical is currently playing in our city, failing miserably I might add.

Holy Grail would be good, but I can't help thinking that someone was sucking down the juice a little too much, making them think it would be any good.  At least that's how I feel after hearing about how badly Full Monty has done, and I thought that would be an easier and better musical than Holy Grail
