After watching all three Sleepaway films from the Sleepaway Survival Kit, I got to wondering what other complete box sets in the horror genre there are that are any good. So far I have...
The Nightmare on Elm Street Box Set
The Child's Play Box Set (With the first film sold seperately)
The Sleepaway Survival Kit
Alien Quadrilogy (sci-fi though really)
Anyone else know of any other good ones (i.e.not Leprachaun!)
I'll recommend the Giallo Collection (waiting for set 2 to come out)
I have the Universal collection with THE MUMMY, FRANKENSTEIN, THE WOLF MAN, DRACULA, THE INVISIBLE MAN, THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. This is a great set.
All the collections Brentwood Video has been putting out are pretty cool, but the movies are kinda cheesy sometimes. But hey, they dug up a super-obscure movie starring Guitar Wolf, so who am I to complain?
There's a John Carpenter box set with some of his older movies in it.
In September of this year we're finally getting our Friday the 13th box.

huh? Brentwood released wild zero with Guitar Wolf?
Nope. Synape released Wild Zero (which, if you don't have it, what the hell is wrong with you, log off, go order it from Deep Discount or wherever, then come back). Brentwood released an even stranger movie called Sore Losers in their Hotter than Hell collection. Guitar Wolf play alien secret agents with the ability to shoot lightning bolts from their hands and eyes.
That last sentence may be the coolest thing I have ever typed.

Still have my copy of wild zero with subtitles before it even came on dvd here. Never went so far as to get it on dvd.
Didn't know they were in another movie too- that set sounds pretty bad from what I read about it but it might be worth it just for that alone.
I haven't even watched two of the movies in the set. I watched Sore Losers and one of the Witchcraft movies. The Witchcraft movie sucks eggs, but I bought the set on the starpower of Guitar Wolf alone. It's only ten bucks, anyway, and it's well worth it.
