Title: OT: Dance Dance Revolution
Post by: Neon Noodle on February 28, 2004, 10:58:55 PM
Okay, okay......I know this one is WAYYYYYY off the topic of movies. Well, not completely, check the video links at this site:

Anyway - This game is so nuts. I bought one version about a year ago to stomp around like a typical white boy with no rhythm, but in the privacy of my own home. Try to imagine playing tetris with your feet, and you'll have a pretty good idea how goofy this looks.

And now I think I'm addicted! I typically get stares when I play on the free demo at my local best buy, and almost all the theaters around here have them too.

Anyone else a victim of Benami?

(btw - I KNOW it looks completely goofy and lame, but it's fun!)

You two are sick.  When I'm on my lunch break in the mall I like to sit in front of the big glass windows at the arcade and watch all the stupid white boys who think they're rap stars make utter fools of themselves on this game.  I think they put the machine in front of the window for a good reason.  What a great victory for the human gene pool it would be were the game to violently explode while a group of them were gathered around it.

Brother R

To add to the geek factor, I got a triple "A" rating - finally all the stuff is unlocked on my home version...

I must agree that DDR is an addicting game.  I tried it in an arcade once just for fun and am now completely addicted.  I haven't gotten to the point of buying the game yet due to the fact that my wife hates it.

I agree skaboi since my last post telling BR  to quit being a jerk was deleted( I understand why I coudl have phrased it better) but after suffering soem heart break this tuesday a couple friends invited me to join them at the arcade, I said ok and played the game. its really a lot of fun.

so yeah I've played it twice this week and am addicted what makes it fun is when you play it with a friend and just do your best. Its also good exercise, screw step arobics.

My gym is connected to a mall - I can go in and play 6 songs' worth, there's my warm-up.

The diversity of the players is pretty cool to see as well; from the wanna-be rap stars (Brother R is completely right) to the little kids to the middle-aged goofballs like myself. Hey, I plan to be young at heart forever...

So which are your fave tracks? The Noodle goes for:
Brilliant2U
Era
The Whistle Song
SuperStar
Healing Vision (Angelic Mix)
