Title: Tremors 3
Post by: mmv3000 on September 04, 2001, 10:56:28 AM
Just watched the screener on this...totally disappointed. I loved the first two, but this one was just boring. Michael Gross's character is fine as a supporting player, but it can't carry a whole movie. There's absolutely no sense of danger in the movie. In this one, they're cracking bad jokes while prey to the monsters.

The new creatures are a disappointment too, in comparison to the original worms...

Another thing that got to me was that Ariana Richards returned to the series, but instead of looking like Ariana Richards, she looked like Kirsten Dunst Part 2.

How many of the other characters are going to be in this, besides Gross's? I liked the first two as well, but i don't see what they could do with it. Maby new characters in a new setting....L.A.?...N.Y.?...Fargo?....but what else could they do? Hummmm.....A variant on my "Life with Kaiju" post...how would THESE boogers affect life in the world? No more basement living! Stilt homes would become popular. and Realy good carpeting would be essencial!

There's 5 returning cast members from the first movie, Gross, Richards, the woman who plays Richards's mom, "Melvin," and the hispanic guy who's name I can't remember now.

As for Graboids in L.A....they can't move through concrete, 'member?

The Graboids are known for overcoming obstacles by mutation.

Oh yeah! In my enthusiasm for the idea of an assault on L.A. I'd forgotten about that little factoid! Hahaha! Still, like Squishy pointed out, the graboids do seem to have the ability to "evolve"....

Imagin water born garbboids, or flying grabboids! Times like that a good .50 cal BMG would come in handy! It seem the walking grabboids lost their armor protection when they "came topside". Why else would our favorite gun nut say, "For the first time in my life...i am compleatly out of ammunition!"...and still be alive when useing only 9mm?

Dude! Michael Gross has SO many funny lines, especially in the second movie, that trying to pick the best would make a good thread in itself!

"But then I noticed that one of the little buggers was only stunned, so I detained him!"

I think that is the title.  Anywho I think its set back the town where it all started.  Nice irony in the title if the movie sucks...Back to Imperfection.  Ha ha!

Hey, guys..ha ha?

Come on, give me a break here!

yeah, it takes place in Perfection, just like part 1.

Oh, forgot to mention, Chang from part 1 makes a cameo...as a picture on a wall.

Just like Roy Scheider's 'cameo' in Jaws the Revenge.

But that is a lot better than finding his shoe or something in a pile of Grabboid dung (ala Gamera: Guardian of the Universe).
