Title: Which of the 'dead' movies was this again?

I was talking about one of Romero's 'dead' movies with a friend and I mentioned the intelligent zombie which could hold a gun. But I could not remember which movie it was :)
I believe it was day of the dead... am I right?

Bub is also the voice of Blight, the chief antagonist in the Batman Beyond animated series.
