Hi, I would like just to announce that in Poland (country in Central Europe with beautiful women, wonderful vodka and without polar bears as some think) we also have a website dedicated to BAD MOVIES. We have started a weeks ago so we have only few reviews and stuff but I hope it will change soon.
URL: http://www.zlefilmy.webpark.pl/
Unfortunately it is only in Polish but soon we shall make also English version.
Whoopee!
Good luck with it.
(and the polar bears)
Wow! Sounds neat!
Are the chioces based on international releases, or is there a lot of Polish film indusrty material we should look for?
Hey, if its good cheese, i'm all for it.
Hey, I really like the look of your site. You have great taste in movies too.
I' m married to a Polish girl from Chicago, but her parents neve let them learn Polish when they were growing up, or I would have her translate for me. (They used it only when they didn't want the kids to no what they were saying..)
Good luck with the site and I look forward to English version.
Well generally we review American movies. Our favorites are TROMA movies (www.troma.com) like Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke'em High, Teenage Catgirls in Heat or Maniac Nurses Find Ecstasy. There are of course some Polish movies that could be called BAD MOVIES but usually there are so bad that watching them is really a torture... I will try to think about some titles and write them here.
All right! Poland has definitely joined the At Least Half-ways Decent Nations roster when it has people watching bad movies just for fun, and not because someone's holding guns to their heads. Actually, I'm eager to see what kind of crap the commie regime forced these people to endure before it fell; I'm guessing a lot of it is like Leni Reifenstahl's "Triumph of the Will" except for having been done with a home video camera on a budget of $1.75.
awesome. keep up with the b-movie movement european brother & let us know when you get the site up!
We'll hoist a beer, and have Piroges and Kilbasa in your honor!
Say...has any one there ever heard of The Ghoul? There was this guy in Cleveland....
He he he I see that you know what is good in Polish kitchen ;)
The Ghoul? I think that my neighbour is a ghoul, and protects his vampire master in his house. His name is Grengula. But I'm not sure if we are talking about the same person :)
Nope!
I refferance the popular king of Bad Movie hosting.
If you ever see The Drew Carey show, you'll see a "Goulardi" sweat shirt on him sometimes. Ernie Anderson was a 60's Horror Host. His character, Goulardi, showed B movies, and often injected himself into the movie. Ernie was an insperation to Drew, who grew up watching "Da King".
Check out Horror Hosts on a Google, and you find out what i'm talkin' bout.
