first of all, I got this on cheapo vcd and it looks awesome. this movie ruled. It's about this guy who tries to get back the head of the buddha statue from his village that some a***ole stole. The opening scene is some game where people are trying to get some flag way up in a tree and beating each other up and kicking each other off the tree to get it. That's an awesome begining. The muay thai kickboxing looks a little like kung fu and the movie looks like a HK action movie in general. What I like to was hat it had really blatant action movie cliches, like Chuck Norris type stuff. Ong Bak kicks ass
Holy crap, this is the most kick ass movie made in a long time. The fights were absolutely devistating, all those kicks and all those elbows. The best part it looked like those stunt men took every hit, ouch!
I just xanda. It's about san shou- chinese kickboxing. It's of similar quality to Ong Bak so far (watched half) though totally different and not quite so over the top
