THE EERIE MIDNIGHT HORROR SHOW (1974) - The film is something between ALUCARDA (1978) and THE EXORCIST(1974). A daughter possessed by the devil is the main character in this shocker. The film has some interesting scenes. Even though it's a Italian attempt cash in on THE EXORCIST they actually make an memorable film. The end where the priest and the possess girl meet in the convent courtyard is almost like a Spaghetti Western as they face off to the death. Some "outrageous" scenes, not for younger viewers.

Which version of this did you see? Was it the DVD from Sinema Diable? That's the one I have. The quality isn't great, but it's okay. I also have 2 other DVDs from Sinema Diable:
* VAMPIRES NIGHT ORGY
* THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF HER GRAVE
This company seems to have some nice, obscure titles. Too bad the quality isn't better.
My copy is Alpha's Oldies copy like the one in the image.
Never seen the other two titles Burgo, I'll ad them to my list.
VAMPIRES NIGHT ORGY
THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF HER GRAVE

I can't recommend THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF HER GRAVE. It is one of those movies that promises a lot, but ends up being a disappointment. The ending will make you want to throw your shoe at the television. However, VAMPIRES NIGHT ORGY is a decent European vampire movie.

At the least , it's got a promising title. I'll have to check it out.
1974 seems to be the year that the Italians decided it was safe to rip-off "The Exorcist." Another Italian film from that year was "L'Anticristo" aka "The Tempter" w/
Carla Gravina, Mel Ferrer, Arthur Kennedy, George Coulouris, Alida Valli, and Anita Strindberg. Has anybody seen this one? Oddly enough, or maybe not,, there is a scene in it, that eerily parallels a similiar scene in "Lair of the White Worm" (which is reviewed at this site.)
BoyScoutKevin:
Yes . . . I have THE ANTICHRIST on DVD. I think I may have posted a thread about it last year. It's actually one of the more "watchable" Exorcist rip-offs.
Thank-you for your response to my question. I did check out the thread you had posted previously. Since the film is on dvd, I'll have to see about purchasing a copy. But, until I do . . . if I may ask one more question. Apparently, Ippolta (Carla Gravnia) picks up by the side of the road, a young West German for a little seductive sex in the country church. My question being, any idea as to the age of the character of the young West German? Thanks!
