Title: Sweet Jesus - Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash Script Leak
Post by: Mr_Vindictive on August 18, 2004, 08:25:11 AM
I'm speechless.

There has been a leak of the script.  Bloody-disgusting.com got their hands on it and I can't believe what I'm reading.  This looks to be the uber-fanboy flick.

Jason Vorhees and the Necronomicon Ex Mortis!

The missing hand!

S-Marts!

Definently check out bloody-disgusting's script review.  It's fantastic:

It's like I've hit a goldmine of info.  God, I love the internet!

Here's an excerpt of an interview with SciFi.com in which Robert Englund gives some great info:

"The premise is that if Freddy gets his hand on the necronomicon, he can return to life, as an immortal superbeing to seek revenge on Jason. Meanwhile, Freddy has to posses sleeping kids to try to kill Jason, but Jason just annhilates them. The parents of Elm Street view this as Jason murdering kids, so they hire a few supernatural being hunters to kill Jason. They top the team with Ash, who needs the money to fund his trip to destroy the book of the dead. Freddy realises Ash has the necronomicon in his dreams, so he has to get into Ash's mind. So that interlocks the battle. Hope they finish soon, i'm looking foward to working with Bruce (Campbell) and Ken (Kirzinger)."

Bruce said he'd do it  only if Ash wins, but you must ask yourself , "How could he not win?"

I'm remaining stoic and skeptical until I see trailers on primetime network TV.  I just don't see it happening.  And if it did, there's always the chance they'd make it suck unbelievable amounts of balls like AVP did.

Bruce Campbell  removed a page of his site that discounted the movie was going to be made the same day the script got leaked. This movie is going to be made and it is going to be great. Even if it sucks it will kick ass. Can you imagine the conversations between Freddy and Ash?!  Amazing!! The kicker that many people aren't talking about is the rumor that New Line offered Sam Raimi finance  for Evil Dead 4!! TWO movies with Ash!! Too good to be true?

Yeah, I had emailed Bruce after posting this on our board.

I included the links to this info and the info that Robert Englund spilled.  Don't know if it had anything to do with his removal of the message from his site, but I like to think so.  :o)

Has anyone written complete Necronomicon, besides that one where they used an actual Sumerian text?

I emailed him too- I've been really apprehensive about getting TOO excited, but it's hard not to be.  I haven't heard anything back yet, have you?
