Here is a piece of bad cinema that you might enjoy. I just bought the widescreen DVD (from Image) for less than $8.00. The picture and sound are extremely crisp. The script, acting, and direction, however, are NOT.
You've probably seen this plot at least 20 times: a mad scientist tries to discover the secret of eternal youth by performing gland transplants.
Reasons to watch this BAD movie:
* John Carradine stars as the mad scientist
* Tor Johnson play the dim-witted servant named "Lobo"
* Grade Z actor Myron Healy is the hero
* There is a typical, cliched operation scene that goes like this:
Carradine: "Scalpel"
His assistant hands him a scalpel.
Carradine: "Clamp"
His assistant hands him a clamp.
Carradine: "Sponge"
His assistant hands him a sponge.
Carradine: "Brow"
His assistant wipes the sweat from his brow.
Carradine: "Clamp"
And it goes on and on like this for a couple of minutes . . .
* Carradine's human guinea pigs (all failed experiments) resemble the creatures from ISLAND OF LOST SOULS.
* The movie is only about 70 minutes long . . . perfect for a movie of this calibre.
Highly recommended!

Question.
Wasn't Tor Johnson's name "Lobo" in Bride Of The Monster as well?
Yes. Tor's name was Lobo in both BRIDE OF THE MONSTER and THE UNEARTHLY.
Is this the one where Tor utters the immortal line, "Time for go bed now."?
Combining TOR JOHNSON and ISLAND OF LOST SOULS sounds like my kind of film !
