Has anybody seen this? Alex Cox (Sid & Nancy, Walker) directed it in 1987 to raise money for a solidarity concert tour through Nicaragua. It apparantly has Courtney Love for leading lady and bit parts by Joe Strummer, Grace Jones, Dennis Hopper (as IG Farben!!), Elvis Costello and Jim Jarmush, to name but a few.
I saw it when it was originally released on video back in the 1980s. I hated it. Elvis Costello plays a butler or a waiter or something. He walks around like a robot or a mime for most of the movie. I seem to remember that it takes place in the old west (maybe around 1880), but it has a lot of 20th century elements that seem to be very out of place. I guess it's supposed to be "artistic" or "symbolic" or something. In reality, it just sucks.

Yes, Bravo played it many years ago and I actually liked it. Very offbeat, random kind of film. I'd like to see it again. Courtney is really good in it. She's the OG courtney...ugly dirty punk with her original nose.
I thought it was kind of funny. It makes no sense really, but if you like the Clash or the Pogues you'd like it.
