A shame that this movie isn't reviewed here :-) This is a classic with an academy award nomination for special effects, only to lose it to War of the Worlds. One of the earliest (american) monster (huge ants!) movies (please correct me if i'm wrong), it deliverd the format to such productions as the giant spider invasion...
I'll tell you why THEM is not reviewed here...it's NOT a BAD movie.
It's that simple.
Nothing bad about it. You yourself wrote it's a classic. So in other words it has no place here at Badmovies.org
There are plenty of movies even better than THEM reviewed here, like A Boy And His Dog.
I estimate that Andrew has reviewed about 21 good movies.
I am not telling he doesn't do a good job (that' what the :-) is for). And sure there may be better movies reviewed. But that's just one's taste isn't it. And in reply to your criticism and Mitch's, there are more classics reviewed (or is'planet 9' not a classic?).
I was just trying to put this film into other people's attention...
Bought a mini movie poster of THEM the other day.
Oh, and I consider any monster movie worth a review here, B-Movies can't exist without monster movies (dodgy ones or otherwise)
Of course I am not including the new version of Godzilla, that was just a bad movie overall...
I'd like to see "Night of the Comet" reviewed here. Bad movie. Cheesy 80's, apocolyptic, psychadelic comet effects, sisters with oozies at a shopping mall, zombies, comets turning people into dust. A zombie kid trying to maul a truck driver. That's good stuff!
