NIGHT OF THE CREEPS (1986) - Just caught this combination of a Zombie film and the film SHIVERS with speedy slugs that enter through the mouth and using the victims head as a breeding ground for more slugs. The new host(s) walk around like zombies till the new born find more host. It's a rather funny film with some good zombie moments. Encore Mystery Channel showed it tonight and I must say it was a pleasant surprise.

Ah, memories. I remember walking to the theater which was a mile or two down the road in the heat of summer to see this when I was 12. I wish they would rerun movies like this on UPN and the like on weekends instead of subjecting audiences to "Critters 4". No need to ask what i watched today.
Encore Mystery showed and uncut version of NIGHT OF THE CREEPS.
One of my favs to come out of the 80s.
Watched it a few years back on SciFi and immediatly ordered it on video from Ebay. This is one of those hidden gems that just NEED to be put on DVD.
I gotta know Scott, which ending? Did it end in a graveyard, or with a scene with the dog?
A fun movie....I also remember watching this as a kid but we watched it at home on HBO at the time.
The pic of the box cover you posted looks like it set out in the sun too long Scott.
They showed the ending with the dog. I only assumed it was uncut because quite a few scenes wouldn't be shown on regular TV.

If it was on Encore, it would definently be uncut.
There is an alt. ending that is shown on regular cable (scifi, usa, etc).
~SPOILERS~
Det. Cameron walks out of the house after being burned and taken over by the slugs. He crawls down the street, stumbles, falls and his head bursts open. Slugs run out into a graveyard. Suddenly a spaceship appears and starts shining a light on the graveyard, obviously looking for the slugs.
~End Spoiler~
I like the cable ending much better. Oh well.
I just recorded that the other night on Encore Mystery. Great '80s cheese fest.
I love this film. I acctually found it on VHS in my basement.

That's always nice isn't it?
Finding a movie you forgot you had and it's one you haven't seen in years.
Night of the Creeps is a unheeded classic - "The good news, your boyfriends are here; the bad news is - they're dead" Love itHate the sound of alt ending. Dog ending is so cheesy 80's horror!
