AND NOW THE SCREAMING STARTS (1973) - AMC's MONSTERFEST showed another Amicus film starring Peter Cushing. Very good film about a family curse put on a landowners decendence after the grandfather cut off the hand of a servant years back. The film moves along well and the story is interesting. The hand is seen crawling around every now and then, but the time it comes out of the wall painting and walks across the floor was pretty good. The film looks real good as it's a period piece with harpsacord type music setting the period tone. Be sure to see this one.

That's that Tarkin guy from Star Wars isn't it?
I thought I recognized him.

Yep, that's Peter Cushing.
Came in on the middle of this I think, looked interesting, but I wanted to see it from the beginning. Around the time I came in was when the blonde girl was about to stab herself in the belly with the knife, then the hand got in the way! I figured I had missed too much of the plot to really enjoy it if it was good, but that scene really got my attention.
Yes, it should be see from the beginning Yaddo. Good decision. I enjoyed this film and it may be the best "hand" film out there.
