Title: British horror film
Post by: mssjg on October 26, 2001, 12:24:46 AM
Looking for the name of a british horror film about a family that tries to kill the father/husband.  They put him in a box, and drive out and dump him over a cliff.  Next day, looks like he's still around.  May have been similar to diabolique but I never saw the end or the beginning.

Sounds like it could be "The Corpse" (1970)  (Also known as "Crucible of Horror " and "The Velvet House")

Yeah, it sounds like "The Corpse" to me, too. It is reviewed in the book "English Gothic" by Jonathan Rigby. If anyone out there has the least interest in British horror, then be sure to check out the book. Almost the whole realm of British horror is in this book, including several films reviewed at this site. A great read. Enjoy

There are about a dozen British films, here at this site. Eleven of them are also reviewed in "English Gothic" by Jonathan Rigby. They are "Abominable Dr. Phibes," "American Werewolf in London," "At the Earth's Core," "Death Ship," "Devil Girl from Mars," "Dr. Phibes Rises Again," "Fiend Without a Face," "The Lair of the White Worm," "Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires," "Rocky Horror Picture Show," and "Vampyres," and "Krull" makes twelve. Enjoy
