I've just bought the DVD, and it is the silliest movie since The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. In fact, it could be even sillier.
Cornman is a superhero who, after an accident with toxic waste in a cornfield, has the ability to communicate with corn. He tries to stop the evil Dr. Hoe (whose right hand is replaced by, yes.. a hoe) from taking over all the corn in the wordl.
He has his faithful sidekick Butter Boy (a Mexican with a popcorn bucket on his head) and the Psychic Nose, who can smell things before they happen.
Opposing them are Waxy, a pseudo British girl who can decapitate a man with her thighs and the fierce mutant Cornsparagus, oh yes, and lots of footsoldiers.
Production values are nil, except for fake blood. The movie is endorsed by Troma and there is a lot of blood spouting about, mostly footsoldiers being gored with corncobs. For the rest, there a mock kung fu battles, a catfight in a shower ending with an exploding head. Dr. Hoe chopping of the fingers of his sidekick in bursts of rage, tender scenes with corn, a mix up between superhero costumes at the laundry and general silliness all around. For instance, the first actor playing Cornman is replaced halfway through, because he's not feeling too well. A must see.
