SciFi Channel is having a Thanksgiving Weekend creature feature marathon.
I probably won't watch any of these but I like the ads.

They are actually showing a SciFi original sequel on Saturday, Species III
A couple of highlights: Alligator, I love this low budget movie where you rarely see the alligator, only his tail in some scenes. There is one good scene where the alligator burst out of the sewer up into the street. It's a good bad movie in my book (hey, it stars Robert Forster!).
Peter Benchley's Creature. I liked the shark/human hybrid suit.
Real turkeys : Gargantua, this thing first appeared on Fox or UPN. The monster looks like CG rendition of somenthing that fell out of some kids toy box.
Sabretooth: Especially horrid CG cat. I guess David Keith needs to eat.

Yes, although it's direct to video/TV. I expect bad special effects, badly censored nudity (since it's airing on SciFi) and an even cheesier plot than the previous films combined.
I watched Sabertooth the other night (again) and came to the conclusion that it was a pretty good movie, if it wouldn't have been for the special effects. They were truly awful. He looks like one of those paintings on black velevet, the great cat spirit in the sky or something.
Species, I still can't remember the second one. I know I've seen it two or three times. I'll probably watch the third one. That badly censored nudity is the only thing that makes a person want to but the movie when it comes out on DVD. Like Boa vs. Python ;) Angel Boris was the only reason to watch that past the 10 minute mark.

It starts out with a mission to Mars, where a sample they picked up, breaks out of its container and sort of infects them. They don't remember this, but when they get back to Earth, they end up killing anyone they have sex with. The main astronaut eventually comes to terms with this, has a bunch of alien/human children and turns into a full-fledged alien at the end. Meanwhile, the female scientist from the first movie has grown a clone of Sil, named Eve (Natasha) and kept her isolated in a lab by suppressing her alien DNA. When the government orders her to help find the astronaut by bringing out Eve's alien half, Eve gets the mating urge and breaks out of the lab. It ends with them getting together in an old barn, right as the humans arrive to put a stop to everything.
I remember the end in the barn, but the rest of it I keep getting confused with a half dozen other less-than-memorable sci-fi flicks.

Hey, I'll be impressed. And the unrated DVD is 22 minutes longer than the TV version. Have to wait another hour and a half before I decide if that's a good or a bad thing.
Oh boy now Species has the whole Triligy thing going on with it. A three pack DVD special addition comin' up.
