Title: Monsters Inc #1 at box office
Post by: The Bard on November 04, 2001, 08:37:29 PM
proving that if you don't let a single person in the world going without seeing any advertisments for a movie, it will be a hit. I remember seeing a preview that had nothing about the plot, and basicaly just Billy and Goodman arguing like a year ago. And my mind has been pounded incessantly by it. I hate watching TV, and then IMDB put pictures of them all over the place.

At least on the bright side, maybe Billy can direct and star in another movie like "My Giant"

It's not fun, its not funny...

I loved it.  So did my kids.  And I'm not what you call an "easy sell."

(I was also the only person in that entire theater that got the "Harry Hausen's" joke...)

Nathan, where do you live? When I saw it in Fort Worth, where I live, I was not the only one to get the "Harry Hausen" joke. I also liked the--perhaps--more obscure "Oscar Mayer" joke, and the --perhaps--still more obscure "Toy Story 2" joke. And I just loved the running gag about the lemon-colored snowcones. What did our parents tell us? "Never eat yellow snow!" Enjoy

I'm in northern Utah, and (probably more significantly) I went to a Saturday matinee with about a billion kids.
