Title: Brain From Planet Arous (1957)
Post by: Scott on December 27, 2004, 04:24:30 PM
BRAIN FROM PLANET AROUS (1957 ) - Fun Sci-Fi/Horror from the 50's. In case you haven't heard of this film it's about a bad brain that escapes from planet Arous and has a desire for power, fame, and woman. Don't forget to sharpen you axe before viewing  this one. It reminded me of FIEND WITHOUT A FACE (1958). Took me a while before I could see this one. It had been on my list for a long time. Rented it from Netflix.

I liked how they stressed that the brain could only be killed by striking it in one particular spot, but when  it comes time to actually do it, they just start hacking away.

I like it when he calls his girlfriend a "silly little idiot"

passive agressive.   I had a roomate like that.  It makes you want to hit them with a hammer.  Remember Eddie Haskell? "Oh hey Mr Cleaver, Wally and I were just talking about something from our science class"  and Ward would look at him like "yeah f**k you a***ole".  Eddie had the touch

Eddie Haskell was a classic.
