Title: Help with movie
Post by: Slush88 on December 29, 2004, 02:34:12 PM
Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone remembers this movie. I remember seeing it on USA way back when. It is about a pair of children whose dad is killed by a bunch of bikers. They reanimate their dad and turn him into a killer zombie; many bikers are slaughtered. Does anyone remember this film?

Yeah, I remember seeing that movie way back when Elvira use to play it on her show.

If my memory serves me correctly, I'm thinking that the title was: "Don't wake Daddy" or something to that effect.

This movie is known by at least two titles: 'Revenge of the Zombie' (I do believe in one distribution or in its release it was called 'Revenge of the Zombies', but was picked on because there was only one zombie) and 'Kiss Daddy Goodbye'. The movie featured Marilyn Burns (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Fabian Forte (the song 'Turn Me Loose'; and I am saddened that I actually know that). The zombie dad was actually the director; and the kids were his real children. Elvira had fun with this one as she did not like the downer ending, so she actually got Fabian to redo the scene with her, as Marilyn Burns, wearing a blond wig.

Damn Menard, you are the man! Yes, it was "Kiss Daddy Goodbye."

I'm ashamed to admit that I actually love the song "Turn me loose" by Loverboy.

I should have specified that Fabian's songs were from the late 50's and early sixties before he made a fairly successful acting career for himself. I will freely admit that I do like the Loverboy song myself. In some ways they have a similarity to a favorite band of mine from the same period which was Supertramp. Ever heard 'The Logical Song'?
