I just finished of the Subspecies series and picked up The Vampire Journals. It's got a different pacing than the Subspecies movies. Much slower and more deliberate and...'artsy'. Very thick atmosphere
What I wanted to say is that I think these are very good movies in their own right. Not 'good b-movies' but 'good movies, period' The stories are good, the acting is credible to excellent. The atmosphere is great. Ted should be working with someone with maybe a bigger production budget, he's a very talented film maker
I liked this one as well. He's definitely progressed as a director since his awful segment in "The Dungeonmaster." He did a lot of Full Moon's "Moonbeams" kids fantasy movies too, though they're so forgettable I don't even remember their names....
