Almost typed IMDB again. Hope no one has already posted this:

I just gave a friend of mine (who I couldn't believe hadn't seen it) a Manos DVD, and I own Space Mutiny on VHS. My favorite part is when Chunk McBeefypuss is doing the brave kamikazi bit in his space golf cart and screams... pauses cooly as if waiting for the signal to jump... then jumps.
Whats amazing is that I have seen a good portion of the movies on that list. Other thing thiers are alot of bad movies not on the list. Guess know one saw them to talk about it.......

They have too many movies on that list that I enjoyed. If that is their idea of a list of worst movies, their voters need to see more movies.
If I remember correctly, a few years ago they revised the list to only include movies with 500+ votes in both the top and bottom 100 lists. That meant movies like A*P*E* which registers a 1.8 on the scale was booted out because it only has 200 votes. It's unfortunate because they had some real tripe before. Now it's all MST3K movies or those that have a substantial cult following. All the truly and horribly bad are gone gone gone..
Comes with the fall, brother. B-moviedom is becoming popularized. It's apparently "hip" now. Give it a few years, all the posers will be gone, and once again on Earth as it is in Heaven. Only the few, the proud, the ones who actually like Manos, will be around like they always were.
Am I blind, or where was Plan 9? How about The Curse of Bigfoot? Or Dracula vs. Frankenstein?
You can actually still see a list of the worst movies without regards to the number of votes by using the IMDB Power Search (http://www.imdb.com/list).
Scroll down to section 4 and select 2 or 1.5 from the "High" drop-down menu next to the IMDB rating option.
I also recommend going up to section 3 and selecting the "exclude TV movies" option and set the minimum number of votes required to about 10-30, or you'll get lots of second rate TV shows and "Making Of..." puff-pieces.
The list that you get out really does seem like the scum at the bottom of the movie making barrel. Mary-Kate and Ashley have several movies listed here, there are 3 Blair Witch parodies (including the one by that arsehole who started insulting Andrew in the Mail Bag section of this site), and a film called "Death to the Supermodels" which manages the impressive feat of getting a 1.0 with 77 votes; the highest number of votes for a movie that still gets rated 1.0, which could mean it's the worst film ever made (some masochist on these boards will have to watch it to find out for sure).
It's also interesting to note some strange results that the IMDB vote weighting causes at the very low numbers of votes - one film called "The Gay Brothers" gets 1.2/10, and I thought it was something about homosexual incest until I read the reviews and found unqualified raves. It turns out that it's an 1895 film about two brothers living in a bomb shelter. 26 people have given it a 10, one person an 8 and two people have given it a 1. The vote weighting seems to presume that this is a case of vote stuffing and gives it a weighted vote of 1.2
