Title: FEB 3rd in music history
Post by: Ozzymandias on February 03, 2005, 11:33:33 PM
Today Feb, 3, is the anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly, Big Bopper and Richie Valenze in 1959.

On Feb 3, 1967, British record producer Joe Meek shot his landlady and then himself.

On Feb 3, 2003, the guy Meek considered his rival, Phil Spector, tells police he accidentally killed actress Lana Clarkston. He later changes his story.

Meek produced Screaming Lord Sutch, Spector produced the Righteous Brothers.

Meek was just cooler.

But Meek shot a presumably innocent landlady, making him just as big a piece of s**t as Spector.

True. I'm talking music wise.
