Title: Evil Dead remake and Evil Dead 4
Post by: trekgeezer on February 06, 2005, 05:31:12 PM
Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert will produce (through Ghost House pictures) a remake of Evil Dead  with a new director and all new cast.  Looks like Bruce Campbell has objections to them using the name Ash however.

They will also produce and Raimi will be directing Bruce as Ash in Evil Dead 4 (which may have to be called  Army of Darkness 2 because Universal produced AoD),

I'm trying to write a script for the ED Remake and send it to Raimi. I've got some f**king disgusting, and I MEAN f**king disgusting ideas for ED.

Plus, the series is one of my favourites.

Rule #1: Nobody in the film industry will look at *ANYTHING* unless it comes from an agent. Too much chance of getting sued if someone sends them an idea and they later make a film that has anything in common with it.

No, here is my plan:

Raimi DOES NOT have to use it. Or I could just send him some ideas for it.

EG:
-Cheryl doesn't break out of the cellar. She "squeezes" her way out and rips off the top of her scalp in the process.
-Scotty gets burned.

Whaddya think?

Doesn't matter, unless it comes from an agent, nobody will listen.

The creator of the show Babylon 5 was forced to drop one story idea he had for a future episode because someone posted a similar idea on one of the web forums that he used to read. Legally it was too big a risk, so he was forced to scrap that idea. I believe that also caused him to stop reading online forums and talking to the fans.
