Title: When watching gory/disturbing stuff...
Post by: dudeman on February 12, 2005, 08:36:58 PM
...are you more prone to squirm when nobody else is around and when you watch it with a group you find it funny? I ask this cause in one of my psych classes, the teacher talked about this study they did with business men.

The business men weren't distrubed when watching stuff like Faces of Death along  with a group and even smiled at some parts but when they watched it alone, hidden cameras caught them being disturbed...pretty interesting.

I'm so desensitized to violence and gore that I just sit there....usually expressionless.

Only the film Dead Alive still makes me cringe in certain parts.

The ONLY part that has EVER made me cringe is the eyeball-stomp in Kill Bill 2.

And that comes from a guy who found Braindead's/Dead Alive's Lawnmower scene the funniest thing ever made.
