I have a movie quote for just about anything/everything, BUT . . . Oddly enough, the 2 media things that I quote from the most are TV shows: Red Dwarf & Blackadder. There are lines from either of these shows that address any Life situation in any context. My 2 favorite:
"They're dead Dave . . . All of them Dave. . . dead, Dave . . .(repeat ad infinum)" -- from Red Dwarf, for when people just don't grasp the frigging obvious right in front of their faces. Good for muttering under one's breath . . .
The second:
"Life isn't fair, Baldrick. If it were fair, things like this wouldn't happen (drop something or smack person you're talking with gently upside de head)" -- from Blackadder. Sort of sums up a lot of things, doesn't it? . .
peter johnson/denny crane
Maybe it is just because I live in southwest Missouri, I like to quote the line in Ed Wood "Damn Baptist just come in and take over!"
Tombstone
Men in Black
Starsky and Hutch
We also do alot of Beavis and Butthead stuff also..like "Tp for my bung hole" .
how could I forget Princess Bride
Also I forgot Spinal Tap and Holy Grail *kicks self hard*
Road Warrior
Escape From NY
Robo Cop
And, can anyone guess what other movie from my signature line?
Mad Max? Gotta give it thay Aussie deadpan delivery.
My other favorite is "He's whacked right outta his skull". It has almost unlimited usefulness in daily life.
It's from Mad Max.
John Carpenter movies are pretty quotable, particularly They Live, which is chock full of great lines. Escape from New York is pretty good too, as is Big Trouble in Little China.
Aliens is another good flick, but mainly for Bill Paxton's lines. "That's it man. Game over man. Game over." or a very useful one: "Why don't you put her in charge?!" But you have to say it in whiny, panicky Paxtonese.
"No style, do ya chicken s**t? Goes to water over a dummy."
"Hey fella, you're a turkey."
"That...THING in there...that's not the Goose. No way."
Yep, the "Anxiety" line is one of my favorite from Mad Max and I use it quite often in everyday life...my wife hates me...My daughter will grow to hate me too, unless I can convert her.
There's many. My wife and I usually sling these back and forth all day.
True Romance - "He musta thought it was whiteboy day. It aint whiteboy day is it?"
Goodfellas - "I thought you said you were alright spider. Yeah but I thought you said I was alright spider."
Flesh for Frankenstien - "To know life you must f**k death in the gallbladder"
Silence of the Lambs - "It places the lotion in the basket" "It places the lotion in the basket" "Put the f**king lotion in the basket!"
Predator - "Whatsamadda Victah CIA got you pooshing too many pencils"
Aliens - "Aye mon, I only need to know one thing. Where they are"
For some reason, I do remember the line "backinbowl" from I think Chevy Chase's "Modern Problems" and opportunity to use it comes up in weird ways but rarely does anyone know the reference
Not sure, but I think that line was from "All of Me."

My best friend and I used to do that one all the time when that movie came out. There's just something fun about doing a crazed Ted Levine voice. We also used to do "Oh wait, was she a great big fat person?"
Man I know. Silence of the Lambs is pure gold when it comes to low brow boy humor. : )
Like AndyC my favorite quotes is from "Aliens" all from Bil Paxton. besides useing the "game over" and "lets put her in charge", I use when their getting dropped on the planet "Express elevator to hell going down". or when the Marines enter the hive and someone said its hot and Bill said "its the dry heat".
Other movie I use is Ichi the killer. "Theirs no love in your punches"

As a heterosexual white American male between the ages of 28 and 40, my favorite movie to quote -- and the one I hear quoted most often by my peers -- is Caddyshack. SNL once did a parody of the Caddyshack Quoting epidemic with a fake commercial where a tuxedo wearing Bill Murray (as guest host) sat in a posh leather chair with a snifter of brandy and read from "The Quotable Caddyshack" which was bound in leather. Funny stuff.
Kung Pow: Enter the fist
Troll 1986
The old fairy: "What´s your name?"
The boy: "My name is Harry Potter Junior" LOL
(That´s in the german version, don´t know if he´s saying this exactly in the original)
Hm... a film including a house full of fairies, gnomes and satyrs, where a family - the Potters - is being attacked by a bad and ugly troll?
I wonder if Mrs. Joanne K. Rowling has watched this movie. Maybe it was her inspiration for Harry Potter...
