BRIDE OF THE GORILLA (1951) - Starring Raymond Burr, Barbara Payton, Lon Chaney Jr., and even Woody Strode. The story of the film is about a guy who wants his bosses wife and murders him to get her. A jungle witch cast a spell on Burr using the juice from an evil tree. This is actually a good film as I really enjoyed it. If you haven't seen it check it out.

Another great Herman Cohen film--his first Horror movie in fact. (and another opportunity for me to shamelessly plug my Cohen site).
Tom Weaver's Interview with Cohen on the movie is fascinating reading:
I really like your page Gerry. A very nice tribute. Again some of my favorite Cohen films are I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTIEN, HORRORS OF THE BLACK MUSEUM, I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF, and now BRIDE OF THE GORILLA.
Didn't like BELA LUGOSI MEET THE BROOKLYN GORILLA which I saw last week.

Barabara payton had a crazy life. I read an insane article about her rise and fall once. She was alright.
What was interesting about this film is that it all seem to be shot on a Hollywood set including the jungle and Raymond Burr never is shown as a gorilla, but only his hands change. The rest is mainly branches in the jungle moving. The film also has good atmophere. Check it out.
