This was one of the best movies I've ever seen. but everyone I talk to seems to feel quite the opposite. I was really into 'happiness" too, so maybe it's just me. Can't beat Natalie Portman up on that table though!
Hated Closer. Granted, the movie was well acted and directed, but it never answered the question of why I should care about these characters. Miserable people being miserable to each other. So what?
I wrote a review (http://www.xanga.com/contentlatest.asp?tab=reviews&user=MofoRising), in which I swear. A lot.
maybe they should have thrown in a chase scene for you. Or had Clive Owen have amnesia except for awesome karate skills
Well that's an odd thing to say.
One of my friends watched it with his girlfriend and said the exact same thing. Nothing wrong with it technically, just a massively stupid and insulting storyline about s**tty people being s**tty to each other. His words were "Not since I read 'The Fountainhead' have I had a cast of more worthless and loathsome characters dumped in my lap."
Apparently "love story for adults" means real mature love is musty and hurtful. I will be avoiding this like the plague.

I'm told that lots of people (well, okay males) hated it cause didn't show her boobs. Which to me, could be a legitimate reason.... ;)
It was basically a foreign type film by american actors. minus the socialist undertones.
Oh God........
My wife and I rented this about a month ago and just now got around to watching it. We have the Blockbuster plan where you pay 25.00 per month and keep the flicks however long.
I must say it's probably the most pretentious piece of absolute s**t I have seen in a very long time. I usually like strong character dramas but this one fell FLAT. Oh...my....God....can't...finish...rant....brain....having...diarreah.......................................................
what was pretentious about it?
