I remeber where a guy puts a husband and wife in their own basement and then changes their house completely making it into a big maze. And I remember the walls all having lots of holes in them. And the killer gets killed with some type of siringe or something of that nature. I can't remember much else because I saw it when I was younger and it's a little blurry in my memory.
I don't know what it is, but it sure sounds cool! Hope someone can enlighten us both. How long ago did you see the movie? Did you see it on TV, video or cable? Around what time period does the movie seem to have been made?

It is Buried Alive with Tim Matheson and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
thank you ellie i will look into that
Weren't there a couple of sequels too? Some channel was showing them all. One had the same type of switch ending on a boat.
Buried Alive 2 with Ally Sheedy.
I don't know if you'd call this movie horror or not, but I saw it when I was around 5 or 6 years old (about 20 years ago) and all I can remember of it is a kid who lives near a lake where once in a while this big scary looking monster-type thing comes out of the water. it turns out the monster is actually a big jumbled mass of rusting steel and vines that is brought up from the depths only when the wind blows, because it is caught on the mechanism that is moved by a windmill that is on the lake (thus, only summoned when the wind blows) A good friend of mine is the only other person who has any idea what I'm talking about when I describe this movie, and he'd like to know what movie it is as much as I would!!
Is it The Quest with Henry Thomas (the kid from ET)? It was also called Frog Dreaming outside the US. Here's a link to the IMDb for it :
