Well, I heard the news that Scifilm.org (http://www.scifilm.org) recently celebrated 4 years on the WWW. I was going to post my review for "Candy," but this seems like a good excuse to post "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" in honor of Gerry's site. Congratulations on such a great place to enjoy science fiction films and television.
Now, on to the review. I just love Harryhausen films:
Review for "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (http://www.badmovies.org/movies/sinbad7th/)
Sweet. I loved these films when growing up. Can't wait to read the review. So I won't.
If you get the chance, check out this Harryhausen documentary (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000068QMN/qid=1114315876/sr=1-19/ref=sr_1_19/104-7032261-0747940?v=glance&s=dvd). Well, if you haven't seen it already.
Harryhausen says this, and I can only hope that one day I will be able to say something similar: (In reference to King Kong) "I owe my career to that giant ape, and the people who made him."
Yup. It's a good life if you can say something like that and mean it.
Excellent review.
While I like this one a great deal, I think the next one (Golden Voyage of) is better. Wider variety of monsters, better actors, and better story.
What Cullen said...oh...
You realise, of corse...."Man, that will never fit" is going onto the list of "Things Andrew said he'll never hear the end off", right?

Aw gee! Thanks, Andrew. Couldn't ask for a nicer film for my site's b-day.
'Course, Scifilm might not even exist if Badmovies.org hadn't inspired me to go for it way back when.
Just finished reading the review. Awesome job as usual. This one probably has my favorite SFX of all the Harryhausen Sinbad movies, but my overall favorite probably is GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD. Between Caroline Munro, Tom Baker, and John Phillip Law, it just doesn't get any better than that.
I really love Harryhausen's work, the movie quality doesn't even matter to me most of the time. Show me the clay!

Another great review Andrew!
I'd also have to vote for Golden Voyage as being my favourite Harryhausen Sinbad film. A great cast, fantastic creatures & a slightly more adult script (possibly the best for a Harryhasuen film). Terrific fun!
