I usally don't like Josh's work and there's a lot I don't like about Firefly either, but there's something about it that makes me want to now how it ends...even if it is a true redneck vision of the future...why is the only black character a bad guy btw? wierd.

I've never seen the tv show, but the trailer looks like something off the sci-fi channel, only with a bigger budget.

Firefly was another good show, that Fox saw fit to put in the time slot of doom on Friday night.

The movie looks pretty good.

but what do "ya'll" think of the cowbouy theme in the show...and the movie...I think it's kinda...well...nerd-ish.

Uh... There were two black people on the crew and neither were 'bad guys'.

I think that's the first time I've ever seen the terms cowboy and nerd used in conjunction with each other.  Seems kind of odd...

Hello,

I suppose they all could've sounded like New Yorkers, but if you're dealing with settlers on a dusty frontier, southernisms strike the right chord.

Of course, we do have the non-specific american accented Alliance... and Badger sounds like he's from across the pond.

I liked the show.   I do hope we see some more asians in the movie, though.

As for the FX... the show FX were actually pretty good.   If they're at least that good in the movie, I'm happy.

One of my favorite recent sci-fi films was Pitch Black, which seemed to have a negligible FX budget.   But I liked the story.

Too bad about Chronicles.   I think the video game was better than the movie.
