Hi Friends: I seem to remember a show that was on in the early 90's,but nobody I mention it to seems to remember it, and I cannot find anything on the web about it either (including the IMDB). I think it was called "Bad Movies We Love". The series was a package of "grade B" movies hosted by two thirty-something guys in a den/living room type setting. I found it fairly cute and entertaining,in an offbeat sort of way. The two men would make sarcastic comments about the horrible movies they showed. I think there was even a book inspired by the show possibly written by the two hosts:"The Bad Movies We Love Film Guide" or something to that effect. This forgotten little gem only lasted lasted a few months but showed some of my favorite "grade B" films including "Plan 9 from Outer Space" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" and some titles I never saw including "The Legend of Lylah Clare". Does anybody remember this show at all? Was this television event a figment of my imagination? Please respond if you recall this show! Thank you in advance! Sincerely,Steve Byczek. P.S. This show I am thinking of was NOT "Canned Film Festival","Mad Movies","Commander USA's Groovie Movies","Mystery Science Theater 3000" or "Joe Bob Briggs". I remember all of those shows more clearly, and they are mentioned on the IMDB and other websites.
Doesn't sound very familiar to me.
Could it have been a local show?
Hi there. No...it was not a local show. I am almost positive it was syndicated all over the USA. Thanks for responding to my message. Sincerely,Steve.
No...i did not see it,But I saw a movie that I can't recall the tilte of,which sounds like the one you described...are you sure it was a tv-show?
This might be a local show I'm thinking of, these radio guys named "Ryan and Ryan" had a movie show called something like "Late Night With Ryan and Ryan". There was some kind of running gag about getting each others magazine subscriptions mixed up or something, I remember they were arguing about getting a magazine called "Rope" one time. Only movie I clearly remember was "Curse of the Fly".
