Title: Identity needed: VERY obscure kung fu flick
Post by: Jim H on June 14, 2005, 05:15:41 PM
I don't know too much about this one kung fu flick.  What interested me was the crossovers in it, and the vague mentions of it I've heard indicate it is surprisingly good.

Anyway..  From what I've read, it is probably mid 70s.  At one point, I had a partial cast list for it, but I lost it.  It's a Chinese film, possibly Taiwanese in origin (not sure), which is a bit of a ripoff of several films.  It has the flying guillotine in it (from several Shaw Bros films and Wang Yu's Master of the Flying Guillotine), a Zatoichi ripoff (who is supposed to be played by a guy doing a great job imitating Shintaro Katsu), and *POSSIBLY* a one-armed swordsman.  That's about all I've got on it.

Anyone have a clue?

I think that exact title was:

"Every single kung fu flick from the 70s"

Nevermind the sarcasim.  Usually I'm pretty good when it comes to kung fu flicks but this one eludes me.

No.  Doesn't have Zatoichi, doesn't have a Flying Guillotine, didn't come out in the 70s, and I own it and its sequel :-P
