Title: May have to start a Menard tribute
Post by: odinn7 on July 08, 2005, 02:20:10 PM
I've noticed that Menard hasn't been around for about 2 days. This got me to thinking that perhaps he has snuck off on vacation without telling us so we don't make a tribute thread for him. Of course, as anyone knows, going on vacation is an indictaion that one has a life in the real world outside of computers. This is what's holding me back as I don't think a geek like Menard would have a real life. I don't (seriously, I'm beginning to think my wife and kid are just CG), why would he?
Of course, there's always the possibility that the tape holding his glasses has come off and he can't find any new tape thus causing him to sit in front of his computer unable to read the screen.
The other possibility is that while sitting at the computer, his pocket protector fell out onto the floor. He bent down to pick it up and smacked his head on the desk and is now laying on the floor in a stupor.
Perhaps he has just discovered cable tv and has seen boobies and can't pull himself away from the screen.
Still, I wonder...

Maybe his mom locked him out of the basement and he can't get to his computer.

But, knowing that geeks like him can evolve into evil geniuses, he may laying low while hatching some insidious plot for world domination. Hmmmm.......

I bought one at Toy-R-Us, but it broke.

Someone once recommended that I use tape on the glasses, but all it did was clog up the dishwasher.

Actually, that is my state of mind when I am sitting.

Not a bad idea. Ooops...dropped the remote. Wait just a moment while I bend down to...

Hmmm....
So he is still around except that he has dropped the remote and bent down to get it...when he regains his senses, he will probably continue what he was doing which is very clear now...
He was hiding from Dave as he fears for his life. Dave did indicate that he's upset with Menard for the tribute post and he also mentioned he was playing with swords. Glad I didn't do anything to p**s Dave off in that thread. All I did was post a Dave the Barbarian cartoon pic and a Davey and Goliath picture that I...uh...oh-oh......

Oh, now come on. After all the abuse I have dished out, and nobody else can think of something to say? Come on, let me have it.

I suspect that everyone is worried about adding to this as it may open them up to abuse from you...either that or nobody likes you  ; p

Either one of those are very realistic possibilities. (:

Come on guys, you have to admit that anyone who knows what peter johnson means is no mere mortal.

Such a person would stand with Zeus and the other gods on Mt. Olympus. He would be a manly man among men (but would still have to look good in one of those  little skirts).

His forceful presence and cunning wit should inspire jealousy amongst us regular guys.............

Huh? Menard? This thread was about Menard.......uh, never mind.

Trek, you're killing me these last 2 days...when did you get to be like this?

Actually, I have always had a very sarcastic wit. Being the youngest of eight brothers, it was my only defense as a kid  (that and a quick pair of feet).

I just haven't had much opportunity to use it here, but Menard makes such a good target the way he picks at everyone else.

I think I'll start watching my back now.
