Title: The good and the Band
Post by: Fearless Freep on August 04, 2005, 09:48:23 AM
The good news is that Charles Band is back to work and looking to crank out some more vampire fun.  The bad news is that the results don't look too promising, or fun, yet

Nathan reviews Decadent Evil (http://www.coldfusionvideo.com/d/decadentevil.html), Band's attempt to mix vampires, little puppers (haven't seen that gimmick before ;) and...lapdancers

*sigh* I miss "Subspecies" and really liked "Vampire Journals" (whatever happened to DeCouwhatshisname...the director?)

You mean Ted Nicolaou?  He's still around, working for a variety of low-budget producers.

Freep,

You mean David DeCoteau?  If so, he's doing crap like  this  (http://imdb.com/title/tt0372803/) now.

Yeah, I was thinking of Ted Nicolaou, the director of Vampire Journals ans the Subspecies series.  I liekd them and thought they had a good feel and was oping he'd do more in that vein

It's not really up to him; Charles Band doesn't have the budget for that kind of production any more.
